- Statewide homicides dropped 16.1% last year.
- In Columbus, homicides hit a 16-year low in 2025 and have continued to decline in 2026
- In Cincinnati, homicides fell more than 6% in 2025 and dropped another 19% in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period last year.
- In Cleveland, homicides fell 16%, rapes fell 28%, auto theft fell 26%, and robberies fell 24% in 2025. In the first half of 2026, rapes declined another 8% and robberies another 21%.

- Aerospace manufacturer Electra announced an $850 million investment in Springfield, creating 1,975 new jobs.
- Swiss paper manufacturer Weidmann announced a $150 million investment in Middletown, creating dozens of new full-time jobs.
- Automaker Stellantis announced a $400 million investment in its Toledo Assembly Complex, creating over 900 jobs.
- Corrugated packaging company Pratt Industries announced a $5 billion U.S. investment, with significant expansion targeted for Ohio.
