Sakana AI共同創業者の伊藤錬が、国連「AI for Good」のグローバル委員会委員に就任しました。

今回新設された本委員会は、政府・産業界・国際機関の世界的リーダー約40名で構成されるハイレベル委員会です。共同委員長をSalesforceのマーク・ベニオフ会長が務め、NVIDIAのジェンスン・ファンCEO、Pfizerのアルバート・ブーラ会長、Reliance Industriesのムケシュ・アンバニ会長と共にSakana AIの伊藤も委員に加わり、AIの信頼性、ガバナンス、社会実装に関する国際的な議論をリードします。

来週7月8日にジュネーブで開催される本委員会の創設会合を皮切りに、Sakana AIとして、信頼できるAIエコシステムの形成に向けた国際的な議論に積極的に貢献していきます。

AI for Good Global Commissionについて

国際連合の下におかれたデジタル技術の専門機関であるITU(国際電気通信連合)では、2017年よりAI for Goodプラットフォームを設置し、AIの活用方法を見出し、国連の持続可能な開発目標(SDGs)の達成に貢献するソリューションを世界規模で展開することを目標に、年次のAI for Good Summit開催等の活動を進めてきました。

AI for Good Global Commissionは、このAI for Goodの活動として新設される、政府・産業界・国際機関のグローバルリーダーが参加するハイレベルなマルチステークホルダー・イニシアチブです。AIをめぐる技術的・社会経済的・政策的な重要課題に取り組み、信頼の強化、責任あるイノベーションの支援、そして世界の人々への広範な経済的・社会的利益の実現に向けた実践的な道筋を見出すことを目的としています。

Sakana AI Chairman Ren Ito Appointed Founding Member of UN-led AI for Good Global Commission

Ren Ito, Co-Founder and Chairman of Sakana AI, has been appointed a Founding Member of the AI for Good Global Commission, a newly established initiative under the United Nations’ “AI for Good” platform.

This high-level commission comprises approximately 40 global leaders from government, industry, and international organizations. Co-chaired by Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, the committee includes Ren Ito of Sakana AI alongside other prominent leaders such as Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA; Albert Bourla, Chair and CEO of Pfizer; and Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries. Together, they will lead international discussions on AI trustworthiness, governance, and social implementation.

The Commission’s inaugural meeting is scheduled to be held during the AI for Good Global Summit 2026 in Geneva. Following this meeting, Sakana AI will actively contribute to international efforts to build a trusted and responsible AI ecosystem.

About the AI for Good Global Commission

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations’ specialized agency for digital technologies, has operated the AI for Good platform since 2017, with the goal of identifying ways to apply AI and deploying solutions worldwide that contribute to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including through activities such as the annual AI for Good Global Summit.

The AI for Good Global Commission is a new high-level multistakeholder initiative established as part of these AI for Good activities, bringing together global leaders from government, industry, and international institutions. Its purpose is to address key technical, socio-economic, and policy challenges surrounding AI, and to identify practical pathways toward strengthening trust, supporting responsible innovation, and realizing broad-based economic and social benefits for people around the world.
