Background
European companies and researchers need better access to high-quality data to develop and deploy AI. The Data Union Strategy sets out practical measures to increase data availability and strengthen Europe’s data infrastructure.
The Commission is also working to simplify the EU’s digital rules. Building on the Data Act and other existing legislation, the aim is to reduce unnecessary burdens and make it easier for companies to use and share data.
